In lymphoma patients, a weak correlation was noted between the frequency of antigen-specific memory T cells and naïve T cells (CD4, r = 0.14, p = 0.38 (ns) and CD8, r = 0.31, p = 0.047) (Extended Fig. 6C, D) indicating that the abundance of naïve T cells is critical for mounting virus-specific responses74. This evidence concerns the gene CD4 and lymphoma.
