TNF and tuberculosis: It has been repeatedly proven that the risk of tuberculosis infection increases in patients using anti-TNF-α drugs.[23] A literature review revealed a study by Hanta et al in 2008, in which 179 patients receiving TNF-α antagonists were followed for 3 years, and TB developed in 3 patients, resulting in an incidence rate of 1.5%.[24] In our study, the number of patients with LTBI using anti-TNF in the last 2 years was 4 (0.9%).
