The levels of macrophage proinflammatory activation markers (CD86, iNOS, P50, and p-P50/P50) were significantly correlated with the levels of oxidative damage markers (ROS), proinflammatory cytokines (IL-1β), hepatic steatosis indicators (HE, Oil Red, BHBA, and NEFA), and fibrosis markers (ACTA2, COL1A1, and COL3A1, Masson and Sirius Red) (Fig. 8). Here, ACTA2 is linked to fatty liver disease.
