Since lactylation of SNAI1 protein has been shown to regulate EndMT after myocardial infarction [60], and lactylation modification enhances protein stability by inhibiting the ubiquitin‐proteasome system [61], this implies that the hypoxia‐mediated increase of SNAI1 expression in PAECs may be associated with enhanced protein lactylation.
