Although one study showed that the probability of FBW7 gene silencing by promotor methylation is approximately 50% in breast cancer, it only included three cell lines of breast cancer and four samples of primary breast cancer.34 Therefore, the expression level of FBW7 in TNBC and the mechanisms underlying c-Myc overexpression in TNBC remain unclear and warrant further investigation. This evidence concerns the gene MYC and breast cancer.
