This effect may be due tothe expansion of CC regions adjacent to the N-terminus of the polyQdomain. MED15 induces ATXN1(Q82) aggregationand co-localizes with polyQ IIBs in neuroblastoma cells. Here, we studied the impact of MED15 in a primarycell model of ATXN1(Q82) protein aggregation with no measurable cytotoxicity.mCherry-MED15 was stably overexpressedin MSCs inducibly co-expressing YFP-ATXN1(Q82), andthe production of recombinant proteins was validated by SDS-PAGE andimmunoblotting. The gene discussed is MED15; the disease is neuroblastoma.
