Bioinformatic analyses have identified SLC16A1 as a hypoxia‐associated hub gene predominantly in glioma cells, whereas monocarboxylate transporter 4 (SLC16A3) localizes to immune cells, especially TAMs and neutrophils, and is tied to neutrophil activation and pro‐metastatic chemokine expression. The gene discussed is SLC16A3; the disease is glioma.
