We then investigated the effect of YAP/TAZ inactivation on cancer cell death by treating LLC cells with Actinomycin D (inducing apoptosis (Liu et al, 2016)) (Fig. EV2A), a combination of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), cycloheximide and Z-VAD-FMK (TCZ; inducing necroptosis (Liu et al, 2018)) (Fig. EV2B), or RSL3 (inducing ferroptosis (Dixon et al, 2012)) (Fig. EV2C). The gene discussed is YAP1; the disease is cancer.
