The PLEKHA1-TACC2 fusion gene was found in 58/402 head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) biopsies (14.4%), 22/164 colorectal cancer (CRC) biopsies (13.4%), 22/158 hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) biopsies (13.9%), 7/79 lung cancer (LC) biopsies (8.9%) and 12/80 gastric cancer (GC) biopsies (15%), but not in breast cancer (Table 2). The gene discussed is PLEKHA1; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
