GSTM1 and hyperuricemia: Compared to the lean MAFLD group, the overweight group was younger, predominantly male, and included more smokers, had lower serum calcium levels and ALP, but exhibited higher diastolic blood pressure (DBP), creatinine, ALT, AST, GGT, and rates of hyperuricemia, RBD, Hb, as well as H. pylori infection rates (51.2% vs. 35.5%, p=0.002).
