Specifically, we hypothesize that the luminal phenotype of urothelial-like bladder cancer, regulated by GATA3 and PPARG, may be modulated by the microenvironment, similar to the findings in breast cancer models where intraductal implantation preserves luminal differentiation, whereas fat pad implantation induces a basal-like state [23].
