CIP2A has been shown to be involved in promoting cell cycle progression in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) cells, whereas its inhibition, leads to cell cycle arrest in hepatocellular carcinoma cells52.As mentioned previously CIP2A is also involved in the cell cycle progression through interactions with for example Plk1 or E2F19,53. The gene discussed is PLK1; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
