As shown in Fig. 4A, the protein levels of the mesenchymal markers Vimentin and N-cadherin were lower in HSP27-3D cells than in HSP27-overexpressing and control cells, indicating that elevated phosphorylation of HSP27 is negatively associated with epithelial–mesenchymal transition in BLCA cells. Here, VIM is linked to bladder transitional cell carcinoma.
