We further investigated the altered interactions between genes participating in four established AD-associated signaling pathways, including the amyloid cascade [48], protein phosphatase 2A-protein kinase B (PP2A-AKT) [49], G protein-coupled receptor-phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (GPCR-PI3K) [49], and Janus kinase-signal transducer and activator of transcription (JAK-STAT) [50] signaling pathways (Table S4), by plotting their partial correlation values in ΦAD and Φhealth1 on different axes in scatterplots (Figure 6C). This evidence concerns the gene PTPA and Alzheimer disease.
