More recently, the K76E mutation in PPIA was identified in patientswith sporadic ALS. Although the Lys residuecan be an acetylation site and a previous study indeed showed thatacetylation at K125 in PPIA favored interaction with TDP-43, to our knowledge, K76 has not been identifiedas an acetylation site (Figure S1). Here, PPIA is linked to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
