By comparing the kinetics of HIV-1 core sensitivity to TRIM-CypA and reverse transcription kinetics in OMK cells (for example at 2 h post-synchronized infection), we observed that HIV-1 cores become resistant to TRIM-CypA before the completion of reverse transcription suggesting a capsid rearrangement or CA shedding before the completion of reverse transcription. This evidence concerns the gene PPIA and infection.
