Notably, BRAF V600E mutations are the most prevalent and significant, accounting for 98∼99% of all the BRAF mutations, which occur in approximately 40∼70% of papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) and 30∼40% of anaplastic thyroid cancer, especially in Chinese patients [3, 7, 8].
