In the present study, the 22-gene mutation assay (AKT1, APC, ATM, BRAF, CTNNB1, EIF1AX, GNAS, HRAS, KRAS, NRAS, PIK3CA, PTEN, RET, TG, TP53, TSHR, TERT, TTN, as well as gene fusions involving NTRK1, NTRK3, ALK, PPARG, and RET) was utilized to detect gene mutations and fusions associated with thyroid cancer in a substantial cohort of 826 samples obtained from FNA samples and surgical formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) specimens. Here, PIK3CA is linked to thyroid gland carcinoma.
