Indeed, survival analysis performed between two groups of low (DNMT3B−) and high (DNMT3B+) expression in eight independent breast cancer datasets revealed a significant and reproducible association of the expression level of this gene with the probability of disease-free survival, consistently predicting a higher risk of relapse in the DNMT3B+ group compared to DNMT3B− (Fig. 1D). The gene discussed is DNMT3B; the disease is breast cancer.
