CSF2 and neoplasm: The allogeneic tumor cell vaccine uses the patient’s cancer cells to produce the vaccine and injects irradiated tumor cells together with an adjuvant, as well as genetically alters the cancer cells in such a way as to incorporate additional functions, including the production of cytokines, costimulators or granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) (Hammerstrom et al., 2011).
