In glioblastoma, PTBP1 binds to the hnRNA of USP5, leading to the jump of exon 15, which results in the generation of the short isoform USP5‐2, thus promoting the migration and invasion of tumour cells; by mutating the splice site of PTBP1, the expression of the USP5‐2 isoform can be inhibited, which reduces the ability of cells to migrate and invade [67].
