Biomarkers including B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP), creatine kinase-MB (CKMB), and troponin I (TPI) were markedly elevated (TPI: 5.047 ng/ml, normal range <0.028 ng/ml;CKMB: 69.8 ng/ml, normal range 0–5 ng/ml; BNP: > 5,000 pg/ml, normal range <100pg/ml), consistent with heart failure.
