Silencing ENO1 expression or blocking the interaction between ENO1 and plasminogen resulted in the total inhibition of plasminogen-dependent cell migration in vitro in pancreatic cell lines and the inhibition of metastasis in vivo in a PDAC mouse model [20,21], demonstrating that ENO1 plays an essential role in tumor progression and spread. The gene discussed is ENO1; the disease is neoplasm.
