“Immunosuppressed status” includes HIV positivity, neutropenia with absolute neutrophil counts less than 0.50 K/mcL at the time of hospitalization, receipt of steroids (equivalent to at least 15 mg of prednisone per day for at least seven days consecutively) at the time of hospitalization, receipt of chemotherapy or radiotherapy or anti-TNF [tumor necrosis factor]-α therapy in the past three months, and history of organ transplant.
