CALB2 and infection: C. albicans is the predominant cause of the infection in neonates compared to non-albicans species of Candida. The difference between two similar species of C. albicans and C. dubliniensis via the application of PCR techniques, such as specific primers (CALB1-CALB2), general primers (CandF - CandR), and sequencing techniques, was resolved for the first time in this study.
