TP53 and cancer: Drawing upon the conclusion from other literatures (78–80), which suggested that p53 enhances the chemotherapy toleration and promotes the generation of cancer stem cells by modulating cancer cell quiescence or activating multiple signaling pathways, it’s reasonable for us to hypothesize that cancer cells exhibiting a high level of stemness may demonstrate pronounced expression of p53 and in turn can facilitate the proliferation of Tregs.
