The methylation levels of ASCL1, MEOX2, OLIG2 and CBLN1 were found to be significantly higher in OSCC than non-cancer controls (p = 0.0148, p = 0.0468, p = 0.0128 and p = 0.0417, respectively), while SOX14 did not reach statistical significance. Here, OLIG2 is linked to cancer.
