Although the white blood cell count did not differ significantly (p = 0.436), the serum albumin concentration was reduced in groups with both sarcopenia and heart failure, reaching the lowest values in the SARC+/HF+ group (4.0 g/dL [3.7; 4.3]; p < 0.001), suggesting an inflammatory or nutritionally deficient profile. Here, ALB is linked to hydrops fetalis.
