TLR4 and obesity disorder: While it is not fully understood if miR-223-3p directly impacts HF in response to the low-grade inflammation commonly seen with obesity, its ability to target a key component in inflammatory processes, namely FBXW7, a subunit of the ubiquitin protein ligase complex called SKP1-cullin-F-box and a well-known suppressor of Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) signaling in macrophages [123,125], indicated that miR-223-3p might help modulate the inflammation in HF in the context of obesity.
