In the HPV-positive HNSCC group of the discovery cohort, Kaplan–Meier survival analysis revealed that high expression levels of FABP4, HMGA2, GDNF, and S100A10 genes were associated with significantly worse overall survival (OS) (Cox regression and log rank p value < 0.05, HR > 2.9, 95% lower confidence interval > 1) (Supplementary Table S5) (Figure 4A–D). This evidence concerns the gene GDNF and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
