It has been shown that effective lifestyle intervention results in significant improvements in the course of MASLD [5], including a reduction in the extent of liver steatosis, as well as in liver function tests (AST, ALT—aspartate and alanine aminotransferase, respectively) and inflammatory markers (Interferon gamma [IFN-γ], Tumor Necrosis Factor alpha [TNF-α]). Here, TNF is linked to fatty liver disease.
