This analysis of survival data in such a substantially large cohort provides, for the first time, evidence that the overexpression of SHH, PTCH1, PTCH2, and GLI1—known indicators of active HH signaling—improves progression-free and overall survival, while GLI3 and SUFU worsen progression-free and overall survival in epithelial, particularly serous, ovarian carcinomas. This evidence concerns the gene SUFU and ovarian carcinoma.
