In CD14+ monocytes, very high-risk and high-risk ALL subjects showed increased cell surface expression of CS1 that was statistically significant at diagnosis (1BD) as compared to healthy subjects (Figure 4C) and chemotherapy treatment (2BD) did not change the CS1 expression in very high-risk and standard risk/low-risk ALL subjects (Figure 4D). This evidence concerns the gene SLAMF7 and acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
