This study found that prenatal Poly I:C challenge led to an increased mRNA expression of AKT1, AKT3, and GSK3β in the DRN; therefore, our findings provided the first evidence in the DRN to support the proposition that alterations in AKT‐GSK3β signaling contribute to schizophrenia pathogenesis. The gene discussed is GSK3B; the disease is schizophrenia.
