Fig 4A shows the differential composition of immune cell infiltrates in the two groups. The AD group exhibited greater ratios of NK cells, B cells, T follicular helper cells, eosinophils, CD8 T cells, and M0 macrophages compared with the controls. In contrast, the ratios of infiltrating Treg, neutrophils, activated mast cells, and T gamma delta cells were reduced in comparison with healthy controls (Fig 4B).
