APPs (blood concentrations of acute-phase proteins (APPs) fibrinogen (Fb), haptoglobin (Hp), serum amyloid A (SAA), and ceruloplasmin (Cp) along with cortisol, growth hormone (GH), and thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) were significantly (p < 0.05) elevated in the pneumonia group (PG) compared to the control group (CG).
