IL1B and Anxiety: Moreover, correlations were found between the behavioral phenotype and the alterations in neuroinflammation such that (i) lower vmPFC tnfα levels were associated with increased locomotion and decreased freezing behavior; (ii) in the CA1, higher tnfα levels were associated with increased active coping and locomotion behavior; (iii) higher CA1 nfkb1 levels were associated with increased active coping; and (iv) lower CA1 il1β levels were associated with increased time spent in the center (i.e., less anxiety-like behavior).
