In comparison to the acute asthma model, the prolonged exposure to all the allergens (OVA, P. fusca, and P. ficariae) resulted in a notable increase in IL-5 and TGF-β levels, with a more pronounced response observed following the P. ficariae exposure than the P. fusca inhalation in both asthma models. The gene discussed is TGFB1; the disease is asthma.
