Researchers isolated platelets and performed RNA-seq detection, and found that compared with healthy people, MS caused 1,249 changes in platelet RNA profiles, including increased expression of Epithelial-Stromal Interaction 1 (EPSTI1) and IFN alpha inducible protein 6 (IFI6), and decreased expression of Ribosomal protein S6 kinase A3 (RPS6KA3), which is consistent with the reported inflammatory characteristics in the blood of MS patients. The gene discussed is IFI6; the disease is myeloid sarcoma.
