Risk estimation for HCC in chronic hepatitis B (REACH‐B) was conducted in Asian populations (mainly from Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Korea) of patients with CHB not receiving antiviral therapy and without cirrhosis, and it showed an area under the subject operating characteristic (AUROC) curve of 0.796 (95% CI: 0.775–0.816) for the 5‐year predicted risk of HCC occurrence, with associated risk factors being age, male gender, ALT, hepatitis Be antigen (HBeAg) positivity, and HBV DNA. This evidence concerns the gene GPT and hepatocellular carcinoma.
