NTRK is a family of tropomyosin receptor kinases, including NTRK1, NTRK2, and NTRK3 [4].NTRK fusions can result in the continuous activation of mitogen-activated protein kinase and phosphoinositide 3-kinase/protein kinase B pathways, both of which play roles in the proliferation and differentiation of multiple cell lineages, including oncologic cell lines [5].While NTRK1 gene fusions are rare, they are still considered a key oncogenic driver, and multiple therapeutics now exist to block this target and arrest cancer growth regardless of the tissue of origin [6,7].
