The results of univariate Cox proportional risk analysis revealed that low serum levels of GPX4 (p = 0.014), high serum levels of sTfR1 (p = 0.005), and high sTfR1/GPX4 (p = 0.003), as well as absolute values of serum sTfR1 (p < 0.001) and sTfR1/GPX4 (p < 0.001) were potential risk factors for COPD-related hospitalization. Here, GPX4 is linked to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
