In breast cancer, the binding of LMW‐hyaluronan with CD44 and TLR2/4 promotes cell invasion, along with the activation of NF‐κB pathway and transcription and release of pro‐inflammatory cytokines such as ΤΝF‐α, IL‐1β, IL‐8, and IL‐12. This evidence concerns the gene CD44 and breast carcinoma.
