After adjusting for multiple comparisons, the Tripartite Motif Containing 40 (TRIM40, rs9261484 -T allele) and Golgi Brefeldin A resistant guanine nucleotide exchange Factor 1 (GBF1, rs10748818-G allele) were associated with a higher risk of developing brain-first PD (p < 0.05 for both, Table S9), while the Inositol Hexakisphosphate Kinase 2 (IP6K2, rs12497850-G allele), Ras-Like Without CAAX (RIT2, rs12456492-G allele), and Cathepsin B (CTSB, rs1293298-C allele) were associated with a lower risk of brain-first PD (p < 0.05 for all, Table S9). Here, TRIM40 is linked to Parkinson disease.
