It is interesting that some SASP factors, such as GM‐CSF, alongside the canonical senescence markers p16INK4a and p21CIP1, were induced by MIT in both stromal cells and their cancer cell counterparts, suggesting that chemotherapy induced broad in vivo senescence, although the SASP profile appeared different between these two cell subpopulations (Figures 5d and S6c). The gene discussed is CSF2; the disease is cancer.
