CD248, also known as TEM1 or endosialin, is a transmembrane glycoprotein that plays a critical role in tissue remodeling and repair by binding to extracellular matrix components and promoting cell migration and attachment.[61, 62, 63] Its expression, which increases in conditions such as cancer, infection, and fibrosis, is associated with disease severity and impacts key signaling pathways such as the PDGF‐BB and TGF‐β pathways.[63, 64] Our findings suggest that CD248 drives TSPCs toward fibroblastic differentiation, consistent with our functional analysis results.
