In the multiple logistic regression analysis, adjusted for sex, age, ethnicity, CURB-65 score, albumin levels, eGFR, diabetes, heart failure, and cerebrovascular disease, hypophosphatemia (Grade 1) (OR = 1.605, 95% CI: 1.138–2.263, p = 0.007) and hyperphosphatemia (OR = 2.342, 95% CI: 1.500–3.658, p < 0.001) were identified as independent correlative factors of respiratory failure (Table 2).
