A study employing a double-transgenic mouse model with pancreatic beta-cell-specific expression of inhibiting interleukin-15(IL-15) and its receptor subunit, interleukin-15 receptor alpha (IL-15Rα), demonstrated that Tofacitinib-mediated suppression of IL-15 signaling not only reversed hyperglycemia but also eliminated mononuclear cell infiltration in the islets of IL-15/IL-15Rα double-transgenic mice (36). This evidence concerns the gene IL15RA and Hyperglycemia.
