Consistent with our transcriptomic findings, LGALS9 treatment upregulated the expression of genes involved in cholesterol metabolism (NPC2, APOA) and PPAR signalling (SCD, PLIN2, FABP1) (Figure 4H), suggesting that LGALS9‐P4HB interaction modulates lipid metabolism in gastric cancer cells. The gene discussed is NPC2; the disease is gastric cancer.
