We recently demonstrated that the Keap1-Nrf2 protein–protein interaction (PPI) inhibitor UBE-1099 transiently increased proteinuria, but attenuated kidney disease progression in the Alport syndrome mouse model (B6.Cg-Col4a5tm1Yseg/J) (Rheault et al, 2004; Kaseda et al, 2021). Here, KEAP1 is linked to Alport syndrome.
