MTOR and cancer: Studies have indicated that pyrvinium pamoatefurther inhibits cancer cell growth by suppressing Wnt transduction. As an upstream pathway to mTOR, WNT jointlyand significantly affects cell growth and survival, both influencinggrowth and survival. Additionally, pyrviniumpamoate can inhibit the mitochondrial electron transport chain, affectingcellular energy metabolism and ultimately leading to cancer cell death. The combination therapy demonstrated a significantlymore pronounced effect compared to monotherapy, likely due to theinterplay of these mechanisms.
